The Autostrada del Sole or Autostrada MilanRomeNeaples is the most important public work after the second worl war. The 19 may 1956 began is costruction in Milan. The Autostrada was completed in 1964. The following is a breef cronology of the construction:19 may 1956: the works began in Milan.15 July 1959: the Autostrada came in Bologna.3 december 1960: the Autostrada came in Florence.22 september 1962 the Autostrada was open between Rome and Neaples.4 october 1964 the Autostrada was open between Florence and Rome.
