After graduating from National Taiwan University in 1973 Directorgeneral ThayMing Lee, in accordance with the Ten Major Construction Projects and in 1975 entered the Freeway Engineering Bureau the precursor of the Taiwan Area National Freeway Bureau taking responsibility as an engineer handling basic level duties. During this period sponsor and smoothly completed Southeast Asia’s largest suspension bridge, spanning mountains. Afterward, to strengthen his professional skills, he entered Thailand’s Asian Institute of Technology and obtained a master’s degree. After returning to Taiwan, he devoted himself to building a management system for freeway road surfaces, creating a fiveyear freeway rebuilding plan, which substantially improved the surface quality of the island’s freeway.
